Job Description
The internship/apprenticeship program is crafted to support graduates in their career transition by immersing them in a structured learning environment. Interns will collaborate with experienced teams across KAA’s various stations and departments. This opportunity is tailored to nurture industry-relevant skills and provide insights into airport management and government operations.
Interns will be stationed at:
- Head Office – Nairobi
- Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)
- Moi International Airport (MIA) – Mombasa
- Wilson Airport (WAP)
- Eldoret International Airport (EIA)
- Kisumu International Airport (KIA)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily departmental tasks under assigned supervisors
- Support project documentation, data entry, and reporting
- Participate in workshops, mentorship sessions, and site operations
- Engage in technical and operational assignments within the department
- Adhere to KAA values and operational protocols

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in technical trades such as Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Plumbing, Mechanics, Carpentry, etc.
- Relevant Degree in fields like Finance, ICT, HR, Marketing, Economics, Law, Supply Chain, or Risk Management
- Graduated within the last two (2) years
- Age not exceeding 26 years (or 28 years for marginalized groups and persons with disabilities)
- Recommendation letter from the university or college attended

- Interest or experience in airport operations or infrastructure projects
- Participation in leadership or community-based programs
- Strong academic background and a growth mindset
