About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, the Lead, Technology Portfolio Management will manage the organization’s technology and application portfolios. The role ensures that all IT services, applications, and technology investments are optimized for cost, performance, and alignment with business goals and digital transformation strategy.

This is a strategic leadership position that collaborates across Architecture, ITSM, Compliance, and Business Units to drive maturity in enterprise IT governance, service catalog development, and application lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Application Portfolio Management (APM)

  • Maintain a full inventory of applications including ownership, lifecycle, risks, and costs.
  • Collaborate with business and enterprise architecture teams to assess applications against value, risk, and technical debt.
  • Oversee lifecycle management and define rationalization strategies for modernization or decommissioning.
  • Integrate SaaS and cloud adoption initiatives into the application roadmap.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and cybersecurity standards in application usage.

Technology Portfolio Management (TPM)

  • Catalogue all IT hardware, software, platforms, and services under defined lifecycle and governance models.
  • Work with procurement and IT leaders to rationalize investments and reduce redundancy.
  • Assess new technologies and recommend their fit within the enterprise architecture landscape.

Technology Service Catalog Management

  • Design and maintain an IT service catalog mapped to business capabilities and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with ITSM tools like ServiceNow to drive self-service functionality.
  • Set up SLAs, OLAs, and service dependencies while ensuring transparency in offerings.

Governance & Compliance

  • Develop standards, frameworks, and policies for portfolio governance.
  • Create onboarding/offboarding processes and enforce service classification models.
  • Ensure prioritization aligns with availability, performance, and cost objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage IT service owners and business units for documentation, cost models, and feedback loops.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on portfolio optimization and value realization.

Process Improvement & Analytics

  • Leverage feedback and usage data to optimize services using a Value Realization Framework (VRF).
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation and AI-driven portfolio strategies.
  • Build dashboards and KPIs for real-time decision-making.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy, or Portfolio Management.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, service management, and IT governance best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM and APM tools like ServiceNow, LeanIX, Jira, HOPEX, or Alfabet.
  • Proficient in business capability mapping, EA principles, and application modernization.
  • Familiar with cloud technologies, SaaS management, and digital transformation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical audiences.
  • Certifications in TOGAF, ArchiMate, or ITIL are highly desirable.
