Job Description

The 2024/2025 M-Pesa Africa Internship Program is designed to expose students and fresh graduates to real-world business challenges in a fast-paced corporate setting. Interns will work within key business units such as Commercial, Risk & Compliance, Finance, Cybersecurity, Legal, Technology, Human Resources, and Partnerships. This immersive experience provides an opportunity to gain deep industry insights, learn from seasoned professionals, and actively contribute to high-impact projects shaping the future of digital finance in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in hands-on training while working alongside experienced professionals in core business areas.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the final or penultimate year of a Bachelor’s degree program, or recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from an accredited university.
• Available to participate in the internship full-time (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM) for any of the following quarters: July–September, October–December, or January–March 2025.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas effectively.
• Ability to absorb new concepts quickly, work well under guidance, and challenge the status quo with confidence and curiosity.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship or project experience in business, finance, technology, or related fields.
