Manager Direct Sales – Role Overview
The Manager Direct Sales at Family Bank will lead the bank’s direct sales force, ensuring that sales targets for retail deposits, loans, MSME lending, and digital banking products are consistently met or exceeded. This role requires strategic oversight of sales operations, hands-on coaching, and performance management to maximize the effectiveness of direct sales teams. The Manager Direct Sales will collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Digital Banking departments to optimize campaigns, generate leads, and drive customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies and programs that align with Family Bank’s 5-year growth plan, targeting new markets and key demographic segments.
- Set measurable sales targets, KPIs, and incentive structures for the direct sales teams.
- Drive proactive lead generation, customer acquisition, and direct sales engagement to achieve business growth.
- Analyze market trends, monitor competitor activity, and adapt sales approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to foster a high-performance culture and enhance employee engagement.
- Monitor sales metrics, pipeline health, and conversion rates, providing detailed performance reports to senior management.
- Support growth in retail banking, MSME, and digital banking portfolios through cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and Product teams.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience by addressing escalated client issues and implementing effective resolution strategies.
- Maintain adherence to sales processes, regulatory compliance, and internal policies, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sales methodologies, team performance, and revenue growth strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications in sales, marketing, or banking are an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail banking, financial services, or direct sales management.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing direct sales teams, preferably within the banking sector.
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth, portfolio acquisition, and team performance.
- Experience in digital banking sales or MSME banking is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, pipeline management, and reporting tools.
- Strong skills in business development, negotiation, and relationship management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in direct sales management, retail banking, MSME banking, and digital banking strategies.
- Proven ability to implement KPI-driven coaching, training, and performance improvement programs.
- Proficiency in sales reporting platforms, analytics software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
