Manager Revenue Assurance – Finserve Role Overview

The Manager Revenue Assurance – Finserve role is responsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving a comprehensive end-to-end revenue assurance framework. The position focuses on identifying, preventing, and mitigating revenue leakage while enhancing billing accuracy, process efficiency, and revenue optimization across all Finserve business lines.

This revenue assurance manager role at Equity Group Holdings works closely with product owners, finance, commercial, cost, and technology teams to ensure robust controls across the lead-to-cash lifecycle. The role also provides strategic insights through detailed revenue risk analysis, reconciliations, and management reporting to support informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of comprehensive cost and revenue assurance processes for all Finserve products and services.
• Manage overcharging, undercharging, and incorrect charging issues across multiple billing and operational systems.
• Identify potential revenue leakage risks, determine root causes, and recommend process and system improvements to minimize exposure.
• Conduct periodic end-to-end revenue reconciliations covering customer acquisition, retention initiatives, inventory optimization, and product utilization.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing through effective controls and monitoring mechanisms.
• Review findings from internal and external audits, consultants, and reviews, and implement corrective actions on control weaknesses.
• Oversee production and analysis of reconciliations from source systems through to billing, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Develop, enhance, and support automation of revenue assurance models and related business processes.
• Provide comprehensive revenue risk analysis and prioritize mitigation actions across business forums.
• Collaborate with product owners to ensure strong controls support the lead-to-cash process for all revenue streams.
• Prepare and present management reports on achievements, risks, challenges, opportunities, and recommendations.
• Provide analytical feedback to cost and commercial teams on variances and potential P&L impact.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA (mandatory requirement).
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, data manipulation, and data extraction techniques.
• Proven experience in revenue assurance, billing processes, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to review and interpret financial results within a telecommunications or digital services environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
• Strong leadership capability to build, guide, and motivate high-performing cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced or postgraduate qualifications in finance, analytics, or related disciplines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical tools.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Oracle databases, Oracle Analytics, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of telecommunications systems including switches, IN platforms, and billing systems.
• Experience in big data extraction, mining, and analysis.
• Prior experience in the telecommunications industry or digital financial services environment.

Experience Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar revenue assurance or billing role.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record in documenting, improving, and automating revenue assurance processes.
