Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Learning Officer to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact on global healthcare education and training within one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations.
Location:
The position is based in any MSF OCBA Hub (Barcelona, MSF-Spain office delegations, Amman, Bogota, Dakar, or Nairobi). The final location will be determined based on the selected candidate’s employability (residency, work permit, etc.). This role offers the flexibility of telework/remote options, with occasional travel required for face-to-face training sessions.
Contract Details:
- – Full-time position
- – Initial 1-year contract with the possibility of extension
- – Competitive salary: HQ 3A level + secondary benefits (based on MSF OCBA Reward Policy, subject to local conditions)
- – Start date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning Solution Development and Support:
- – Collaborate with Technical and Medical Learning Referents to analyze context, define learning objectives, and develop content
- – Assist in creating and updating training packages, ensuring alignment with current guidelines and protocols
- – Coordinate validation processes and provide quality assurance through proofreading
2. Training Coordination and Facilitation:
- – Oversee the deployment of medical learning activities, both face-to-face and online
- – Actively participate in and facilitate training sessions, fostering an optimal learning environment
- – Produce comprehensive reports with evaluations and recommendations for future training improvements
3. Learning Resource Management:
- – Identify and develop new technical areas for inclusion in PMR resources
- – Maintain content quality control and ensure regular updates
- – Contribute to the Medical Community of Practice
4. Simulation Activities:
- – Participate in simulation exercises as requested
- – Contribute to scenario design and suggest improvements based on experience
Requirements:
- – Medical degree, nursing, or midwifery diploma
- – Minimum 2 years of field experience with MSF in regular and emergency interventions (mandatory)
- – Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring learning programs in medical settings (preferred)
- – Fluency in English and French (required); Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese is a plus
- – Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- – Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
- – Adaptability and willingness to travel for face-to-face training sessions
