Job Description
The CAK Young Professional Programme and Internship Programme provide hands-on exposure to competition law enforcement, economic analysis, market investigations, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance. Participants will work within specialized divisions, gaining direct experience in market regulation and public-interest decision-making.
Both programs are designed to help graduates deepen their technical skills, understand regulatory dynamics, collaborate across departments, and contribute to the Authority’s mandate of promoting fair competition and consumer welfare. Successful candidates will train under experienced officers, participate in research assignments, and support ongoing investigations and regulatory projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support market investigations, compliance monitoring, and consumer protection activities.
- Assist in reviewing mergers and acquisitions to ensure compliance with competition law.
- Conduct research on competition policy, economic trends, and regulatory developments.
- Participate in enforcement activities and preparation of departmental reports.
- Support legal analysis, case documentation, and preparation of regulatory submissions.
- Assist in data collection, policy reviews, and evaluation of market practices.
- Engage in cross-departmental projects supporting CAK’s mandate.
- Contribute to departmental administrative tasks and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
Young Professional Programme (YPP)
- Master’s Degree in Law, Economics, or a Business-related field.
- Aged below 35 years.
Internship Programme
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the required disciplines listed below:

- Proficiency in data analysis tools or legal research methods (advantage).
