Senior Financial Planning Position at Leading Global Foundation
The Mastercard Foundation, a leading global organization dedicated to enabling opportunities for learning and prosperity, is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Partner to join their dynamic team in Nairobi. This role is crucial in supporting the Foundation’s Young Africa Works strategy, which aims to empower 30 million young people across Africa with access to dignified employment.

Role Overview: Partner, Financial Planning & Analysis
- Location: Nairobi, Kenya
- Department: Finance
- Reports to: Lead, Financial Planning & Analysis
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- – Spearhead strategic financial planning and analysis initiatives
- – Lead critical components of the annual budgeting process
- – Manage operating expenses, pipeline planning, and disbursements
- – Oversee quarterly forecasting and budget performance monitoring
- – Develop comprehensive management reports and financial analyses
- – Create and maintain financial dashboards and reporting systems
- – Provide strategic financial guidance to cross-functional teams
- – Contribute to Board meeting preparations and financial documentation
- – Implement and enhance financial policies and procedures
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
- – Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- – Professional certification: CPA or CA (mandatory)
Experience Requirements
- – Minimum 5 years in financial planning roles
- – Proven track record in NGOs or global organizations
- – Experience with financial modeling and analysis
- – Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Technical Skills
- – Advanced financial planning and analysis expertise
- – Strong budgeting and forecasting capabilities
- – Proficiency in financial management systems
- – Data visualization and reporting skills
- – Knowledge of CRA regulatory requirements
Soft Skills
- – Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- – Cross-cultural communication expertise
- – Leadership and team collaboration
- – Adaptability and flexibility
