Job Description

The Procurement Officer role is designed to support the Supply Chain Category Manager in delivering agreed objectives aligned with Equity Bank’s overall strategy. The position focuses on maximizing departmental efficiency and effectiveness, particularly in responding to IT procurement needs, while ensuring the procurement strategy delivers value to internal clients.

The role holder will work closely with cross-functional teams across the business to develop, implement, and manage the Information Technology category. This includes ensuring assurance of supply, quality, service excellence, competitive cost structures, and incremental savings throughout the product life cycle. Key Responsibilities

Category Governance

Reporting and Internal Processes

Required Qualifications

• University degree in Supply Chain Management or a business-related field.
• Professional qualification with membership in KISM or CIPS.
• At least one (1) year of experience in a similar role within a medium or large organization.

• Experience supporting IT procurement categories.
• Exposure to category management and supplier performance management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and procurement platforms.
