Product Manager – Enterprise Document Management Job Description

The Product Manager – Enterprise Document Management is responsible for shaping and executing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Equity Group’s enterprise document and records management systems. This position drives the transition to a paperless organization while aligning with the Africa Recovery and Resilience Plan. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the role leads the full lifecycle of scalable and inclusive enterprise products that enhance operational efficiency and deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for document management and paperless process products, including requirements definition, feature prioritization, and roadmap planning.
  • Drive adoption and integration of digital signature, workflow automation, and document capture technologies such as Docusign, Newgen OmniDocs, and Omiscan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions successfully across business units and ensure seamless integration.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate user feedback into actionable product enhancements and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards for document management and digital processes.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into actionable product features and solutions.
  • Communicate product vision, updates, and releases to internal teams, maintaining alignment with strategic goals.
  • Document product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for all features and enhancements.
  • Prepare regular reports on product performance, user feedback, and project progress for management and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization within document management and paperless systems.
  • Evaluate and implement new features and technologies to improve user experience and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in product management and 5 years overall experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven experience delivering document management and paperless solutions in regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in Product Management, Change Management, or Agile methodologies are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of emerging document management technologies and industry best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional team collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance standards in banking or financial services.
