The Regional Thematic Specialist (Humanitarian Response and Recovery) at IOM will provide strategic direction and technical support to Country Offices across the region. This role involves leading the Humanitarian Response and Recovery Unit, advocating for IOM’s Strategic Plan, and developing partnerships with various stakeholders. The Specialist will also oversee project development, capacity building, and ensure quality control in humanitarian response initiatives. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex humanitarian contexts.

Candidate Requirements:

• Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• At least seven years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in humanitarian response and recovery
• Minimum five years in non-OECD countries managing projects
• Experience in resource mobilization and advocacy
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage
