- Completion of Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent.
- Membership of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to financial management.

- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
