Job Description
This senior-level role is focused on driving financial performance across the Group’s subsidiaries by delivering deep financial insights, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, leading the ICAAP and stress testing processes, and guiding strategic partnerships through informed reporting. The Senior Business Performance Manager will work collaboratively with senior executives, commercial and operational leaders, and finance teams across the Group to ensure strategic alignment, performance optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Lead the collaboration with finance departments and business unit heads to prepare, consolidate, and align annual budgets and forecasts to the Group’s strategic objectives.
- Support subsidiaries in quarterly forecasting and the development of rolling business plans.
- Review and analyze periodic budget variances, identify gaps, and recommend corrective action plans.
- Oversee the review and approval of capital budgets within business units.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare comprehensive performance reports, including product performance, business segment KPIs, and budget variance insights for senior management.
- Compile and review quarterly subsidiary Board papers and investor briefing decks.
- Conduct industry benchmarking and bank peer reviews on a quarterly basis to inform leadership on competitive positioning and market share dynamics.
ICAAP and Risk Oversight
- Manage and support the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and stress testing across the Group.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk oversight frameworks.
Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Identify inefficiencies in business processes and collaborate on improvement initiatives.
- Develop and present cost-efficiency and optimization reports to guide strategic cost-saving measures.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis of capital and operational expenditures, supporting business case development and ROI assessment.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor, coach, and manage a team of business analysts, building capability within the department.
- Partner with commercial and operations teams to improve cross-functional alignment and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience in commercial finance or management reporting, including strategic advisory experience with senior stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and performance management.
- CPA or ACCA certification (preferred).
- Strong financial modeling, analysis, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Big 4 accounting or advisory firm.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle BI, Power BI, and data analytics tools (Python, SQL, R).
- Familiarity with post-investment review frameworks and strategic financial planning tools.
