Competitive Remuneration Package

• – Basic Salary: Kes.76,860 x 4,260 – 81,120 x 4,255 – 85,375 x 4,260 – 89,635 x 4,260 – 93,895 x 4,755 – 98,650 x 4,770 – 103,420 x 4,770 -108,190 x 5,050 – 113,240 x 5,060 -118,300 per annum
• – House Allowance: Kes 29,000 monthly
• – Commuter Allowance: Kes 8,000 monthly

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• – Nine (9) years cumulative experience, three (3) years of which should have been at the grade of Driver I or comparable position in the public or private sector
• – KCSE mean grade D (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent
• – Valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s)
• – Passed Occupational Trade Test I for Drivers
• – Defensive Driving Certificate from recognized institution
• – Refresher Driving course lasting not less than one week from a recognized institution
• – Certificate of Good Conduct (renewable after one (1) year)
• – Refresher course in First Aid lasting not less than one (1) week
• – Proficiency in computer applications
• – Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
• – Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of Constitution

• – Strong communication skills for effective reporting and passenger interaction
• – Excellent problem-solving abilities for handling transport-related challenges

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Driver will be responsible for:

Vehicle Operation and Safety

• – Driving the Authority vehicle as authorized
• – Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments when necessary
• – Recognizing and promptly reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles
• – Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road

Transport Administration

• – Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles
• – Preparing and submitting comprehensive reports on transport when need arises
• – Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein
• – Providing leadership and guidance to junior drivers
