Competitive Remuneration Package
- – Basic Salary: Kes.76,860 x 4,260 – 81,120 x 4,255 – 85,375 x 4,260 – 89,635 x 4,260 – 93,895 x 4,755 – 98,650 x 4,770 – 103,420 x 4,770 -108,190 x 5,050 – 113,240 x 5,060 -118,300 per annum
- – House Allowance: Kes 29,000 monthly
- – Commuter Allowance: Kes 8,000 monthly
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualification paths:
Path 1:
- – Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution
- – Proficiency in computer applications
- – Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
- – Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution
Path 2:
- – Three (3) years’ experience at the grade of Assistant Officer III or in a comparable position in the public service or private sector
- – Diploma Certificate in Law from a recognized institution
- – Proficiency in computer applications
- – Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
- – Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution

- – Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration
- – Effective negotiation skills for assisting with legal matters
Core Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant will be responsible for:
Document Management
- – Reviewing and retrieving files for relevant action
- – Opening and maintaining legal files
- – Photocopying essential file documents
- – Filing contract and court documents systematically
- – Maintaining and updating files for rapid access and retrieval
Case Support
- – Responding to inquiries regarding specific cases
- – Facilitating payment of legal fees to the Fund’s external advocates
- – Serving legal documents to clients and other stakeholders
- – Monitoring progress of contract and court cases
- – Maintaining and updating master diary for court cases
Contract Administration
- – Collaborating with the Legal Officer to monitor all contracts and leases – terms and expiry
- – Preparing a summary of all contracts
- – Obtaining the Kenya Gazette weekly and perusing for relevant information
- – Preparing and submitting reports on any matter affecting the Fund

- – Report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
