Senior HR Officer Job

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and people-focused Senior HR Officer to oversee the human resources function for one of our clients. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the hospitality industry and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with an unskilled workforce. The role requires a practical HR professional who can communicate effectively with employees at all levels, enforce policies fairly and consistently, and work closely with supervisors and management to maintain a productive and well-disciplined workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a visible and approachable HR presence on the ground, regularly engaging employees and supervisors to identify and resolve people-related issues early.

Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, complaints, conflict resolution, disciplinary cases and workplace conduct, in a fair, consistent and confidential manner.

Monitor attendance, punctuality, absenteeism, leave and employee movements, and work with supervisors to address recurring attendance and performance issues.

Support supervisors and line managers in managing employee performance, including setting expectations, addressing poor performance and documenting appropriate follow-up actions.

Implement and consistently communicate HR policies, procedures and workplace rules in a manner that is practical and easy for all skilled and unskilled employees to understand.
