Role Overview

The Senior Security Domain Architect is responsible for developing, reviewing, and governing enterprise security architecture artifacts across multiple domains including data security, infrastructure security, identity and access management, network security, cloud security, IoT, and blockchain technologies.

This role translates business requirements, risk assessments, and security policies into actionable security architecture designs for both new and existing systems. The position serves as a trusted security advisor to business leaders, enterprise architects, auditors, and IT delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Security Architecture

• Develop and govern enterprise information security architectures aligned with organizational strategy.
• Provide expert guidance on implementing enterprise security architecture standards across platforms, applications, and infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to approved security architecture frameworks and reference architectures.
• Document and communicate security architecture decisions to senior leadership, enterprise architecture teams, and the Chief Information Security Officer.

Security Domain Leadership

• Act as a security subject matter expert across domains including cloud, IoT, blockchain, IAM, data, application, network, database, and infrastructure security.
• Support and collaborate with other cyber security domain architects covering specialized security areas.
• Provide application security leadership while maintaining strong working knowledge of adjacent security domains.

Risk, Compliance & Standards

• Translate risk assessments, policies, and regulatory requirements into security architecture requirements.
• Ensure compliance with NIST standards, global information security frameworks, and internal security policies.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining clear security architecture documentation.
• Assist in managing technology security risks across enterprise systems.

Cybersecurity Strategy & Roadmap

• Support delivery of the three-year cybersecurity roadmap focused on advanced security and emerging technologies.
• Lead optimization of cybersecurity reporting mechanisms to demonstrate measurable business value.
• Balance security controls with risk, cost, customer impact, and operational timelines.

Security Operations & Advisory

• Provide advisory support on Active Directory security, group policies, intrusion detection, VPNs, and network monitoring.
• Participate as a senior security advisor in IT system development and technology acquisition projects.
• Support digital investigations, incident response, and management of insider threats and data exfiltration incidents.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Network Security, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in cybersecurity within a global or enterprise environment.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in security architecture, network security, or infrastructure security.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, CISA, CCISO, CEH, GIAC, or ISO 27001 are an added advantage.

Technical Expertise

• Strong expertise in network security architecture including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, segmentation, and routing.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security architecture, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure PaaS.
• Experience deploying next-generation firewalls, SIEM, endpoint security, intrusion prevention, and identity management systems.
• Deep understanding of identity and access management design, directory services, and authentication systems.
• Strong knowledge of application security, encryption technologies, and vulnerability management.
