Job Description
The Senior Officer, Retail/SME Dealer, will work closely with SME Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Branch Managers to promote FX treasury products and achieve both SME and retail treasury targets. This role combines client engagement, strategic planning, and team leadership to enhance the bank’s market share and revenue in FX trading and related treasury services.
The position requires daily engagement with branch networks, coaching frontline staff, managing client queries, and supporting the execution of branch-based FX strategies. The role holder is expected to identify opportunities for growth, reactivate dormant client accounts, and ensure branches meet performance objectives through a clear, results-focused treasury plan.
Key Responsibilities
FX Treasury Sales & Client Engagement
- Collaborate with SME Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Branch Managers to drive FX sales and treasury growth.
- Execute retail and SME FX sales strategy to increase market share and achieve revenue targets.
- Engage branches and clients daily on current market trends and FX opportunities.
- Increase client numbers and reactivate dormant accounts through targeted engagement.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop clear and concise branch-level FX sales plans aligned with treasury strategies.
- Coordinate FX training and support across branches to strengthen product knowledge.
- Implement marketing plans for treasury products to achieve revenue objectives.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing treasury sales team to meet deliverables.
- Promote teamwork and ensure adherence to performance standards across branch networks.
- Assist in resolving branch-related FX disputes and provide support to Branch Managers.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in treasury, FX, or SME/retail banking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- ACI Certification in FX or treasury trading.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in coaching or leading treasury or sales teams.
- Strong knowledge of FX markets and treasury operations.
- Proven record of achieving sales targets in retail or SME banking.
