Centre for Health Solutions – Kenya (CHS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Officer for Community Linkages to join their USAID-funded TB ReSET project team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Health System Strengthening Advisor, the Technical Officer-Community Linkages will be responsible for strengthening TB activities in primary health care settings and developing community linkages across 16 deep-focus counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Support community engagement for TB in 16 deep-focus counties
- – Develop and execute work plans for TB activities at the community level
- – Identify innovative strategies for TB program linkages
- – Lead creation of culturally appropriate TB patient information packages
- – Build capacity of Community Health Promoters (CHPs)
- – Develop project tools and training materials for Quality Improvement
- – Coordinate engagement of TB Champions and community-based support
- – Utilize community-led monitoring tools to address barriers to TB services
- – Support establishment of primary care networks and inclusion of TB data in eCHIS
- – Oversee service delivery through eCHIS and TiBU-lite
- – Participate in research activities related to CHP involvement in TB services
- – Prepare monthly work plans and budget plans
Requirements:
- – Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Sociology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- – Minimum 10 years’ experience in community health systems strengthening, with 5 years at senior supervisory level
- – Experience with Ministry of Health and donor-funded programs, including US government PEPFAR programs
- – Solid understanding of Kenya’s devolved health systems and community health agenda
- – Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and capacity-building skills
- – Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- – Experience in knowledge management in public health/healthcare
- – Excellent facilitation and writing skills
