Job Description
The Telesales Senior Team Leader – Outbound will be instrumental in supervising, coaching, and driving performance for the outbound telesales unit. The role focuses on managing a team of telesales team leaders and agents, ensuring that revenue and retention goals are met through effective campaign execution, sales leadership, and strategic planning. You’ll serve as a key liaison between the sales floor and business leadership, ensuring the smooth running of telesales operations and alignment with wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of Outbound Telesales Team Leaders and representatives to meet and exceed KPIs and sales targets.
- Develop telesales campaign strategies, including scripting, training, scheduling, sales forecasting, and execution planning.
- Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly team performance; provide actionable insights to improve results.
- Collaborate with QA and Training teams to ensure continuous skill enhancement and sales effectiveness.
- Analyze customer data to identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and optimize team efficiency.
- Address operational gaps in real-time and work proactively to resolve issues such as stock availability and technical challenges.
- Serve as a strategic voice in coordination with departments such as Retail, IT, and Customer Support.
- Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives to enhance customer retention through telesales innovation.
- Stay informed about best practices in telesales, customer experience, and fintech to ensure M-KOPA remains a leader in the space.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, or Communication.
- 3–4 years of telesales leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and achieving sales targets.
- Demonstrated experience in outbound sales management, performance tracking, and campaign planning.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or within M-KOPA’s business model or similar fintech environments.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and telesales software tools.
- Understanding of customer retention strategies within digital financial services.
