UN Women is seeking a Deputy Director for the Policy, Programme and Intergovernmental Division (PPID) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Leadership for Divisional Planning and Delivery of UN Women Strategic Plan Results
• Provide strategic leadership for the formulation, implementation and periodic review of the Division’s Strategic Note, ensuring clear strategic direction, prioritization and alignment with UN Women’s Strategic Plan and corporate commitments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in international development or related field
• 15 years of experience in programme management or policy development
• 10 years of experience in gender equality and women's empowerment
• 10 years of experience in leading and managing personnel
• Experience in change management within large organizations
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is desirable
