Job Description

The Waiter/Waitress at CJ’s is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests. You will be the face of the brand during each shift, ensuring guests feel welcome, orders are handled accurately, and all interactions reflect CJ’s commitment to excellence. From recommending dishes to managing customer feedback, your role directly impacts the restaurant’s success and customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the entire menu to provide suggestions and promote upselling of food and beverages.
• Greet customers warmly and establish an engaging rapport throughout their dining experience.
• Ensure all table settings, cutlery, crockery, and menus are clean, polished, and well-arranged before and during service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately, process them through the POS system, and deliver timely service.
• Confirm and cross-check guest orders to ensure they match individual preferences and dietary specifications.
• Follow up on delayed orders and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to minimize wait times.
• Ensure guests are satisfied with their meals, proactively resolving any concerns or complaints on the spot.
• Keep your section tidy by clearing tables, resetting cutlery, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.
• Inform the supervisor of any unusual guest requests, complaints, or service issues requiring escalation.
• Handle cash and card transactions, provide correct change, and thank guests sincerely after every transaction.
• Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards as per CJ’s operational procedures.
• Stay informed about new menu items, seasonal promotions, and upcoming restaurant events to better engage customers.

Required Qualifications

• A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality establishment.
