Assistant Agriculture Officer III

Kwale County Government is hiring for the Assistant Agriculture Officer III position in Kwale. This is a full time, entry level role. Qualification level: Diploma. The County Public Service Board Wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons on permanent and pensionable terms to fill the following positions in the department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. Key responsibilities

• This is the entry and training grade for this cadre.
• An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.
• Duties and responsibilities will entail;
• carrying out practical demonstration relating to crop production.
• accompanying extension teams during farm visits and farmer training.
• participating in field days and agricultural shows that disseminate crops production technologies and information.
• collecting and collating crops data and information for gross margins.
• market access and planning.

Requirements

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines; Food Science, Home Economics, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Economics, Natural Resource Management, Agribusiness, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Education, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and,
