Where You Could Work
Interns in the Client Coverage Internship Programme Kenya are placed within one of the following client-facing teams:
- Corporate Coverage: Supporting multinational, local, and middle-market corporate clients by delivering tailored solutions across cash management, trade finance, lending, capital markets, and advisory services.
- Financial Institutions Coverage: Working with banks, insurers, asset managers, public sector institutions, and private equity firms, supporting financing, risk management, cash and securities, and investment strategies.
Available Internship Roles
- Assistant Relationship Manager Intern: Supporting Senior Relationship Managers with deal execution, client coordination, account planning, and business approvals while identifying new business opportunities.
- Credit Analyst Intern: Assisting in credit risk assessment, financial analysis, deal structuring, and ongoing client monitoring, including exposure to sustainability, environmental, and reputational risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support client relationship management within Corporate & Investment Banking
- Assist with financial, credit, and industry analysis for corporate clients
- Collaborate with product partners across financing, trade, and markets
- Contribute to deal execution and transaction support activities
- Prepare reports, presentations, and client documentation
- Participate in risk assessment and compliance processes
- Engage with internal teams to deliver sustainable client outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Penultimate-year student enrolled in a recognized university
- Strong academic performance and active extracurricular involvement
- Availability to intern in June 2026 and start full-time in July 2027
- Permanent legal right to work in Kenya
