Clinical Nurse, Surgical Consulting Clinic

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the above position based in Nairobi Kenya.

The position holder will report to the Nursing Supervisor, Clinics Nursing Division.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares consultation rooms, ensuring stocks, linen, basic equipment and stationery are available at all times
• Performs basic assessment for all patients attending the clinic and designs care which is specific and appropriate to individual needs.
• Assessment includes measurement of vital signs, height, and weight
• Confirms imaging and pathology reports and ensures these are present in CARE 2000 before patient is seen by the doctor
• Prepares patient for physician examination and acts as chaperone where necessary

Requirements

• KRCHN /BScN from a recognized school of Nursing or University
• Current Licensure with the Nursing council of Kenya
• Certificate in Basic life support (BLS)
