About the Role

The Crop Protection Manager will be responsible for the overall crop protection activities at Chui Farm. The position will oversee the execution of crop protection activities, evaluate growing practices, manage related budgets and address issues that may affect effective crop protection operations.

The role also involves developing crop protection policies and processes, supporting employee training and ensuring that the team works productively while maintaining professional development and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare chemical orders in line with the approved chemical budget.
• Inspect and oversee the periodic inspection of spray equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Oversee daily crop protection activities across the farm.
• Conduct proactive crop protection analysis and evaluation on a regular basis.
• Evaluate current growing practices and make recommendations based on evaluation results to support maximum production.
• Identify the root causes of issues affecting crop protection activities and address them proactively in liaison with management.
• Maintain crop protection budgets and optimize expenses to ensure operations remain within approved budgets.
• Develop and maintain policies and processes covering crop protection activities and ensure they are accessible to employees.
• Update crop protection procedures and policies in line with new developments.
• Provide appropriate training and education on the safe use and operation of equipment and spraying techniques.
• Support employee productivity and professional development while maintaining staff engagement and satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate in Horticulture, Floriculture or Agriculture.
• 5–7 years of experience in the flower industry, preferably in rose production.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar or related position.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.
