Job Description

The Dental Assistant will support dental care operations by preparing treatment rooms, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring optimal patient comfort and clinic hygiene. This is a hands-on role, ideal for candidates who have worked in dental clinic jobs in Kenya and possess strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist dentists in performing dental procedures and surgeries.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Manage patient records, appointments, and treatment notes.
• Ensure infection control and adherence to clinic hygiene protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Handle dental supplies and inventory management.
• Support overall daily operations of the dental unit.

Required Qualifications

• Certificate in Dental Assisting from a recognized institution
• At least two (2) years of experience in a busy dental facility as a dental assistant
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern dental equipment and software
• Customer service training or experience in a customer-facing healthcare role
• Basic knowledge of dental procedures and aftercare instructions
