Director – Human Resource Management

Muranga County Government is hiring for the Director – Human Resource Management position in Muranga. This is a full time role. Qualification level: Masters. Murang’a County is one of the five counties in the Central region of the Republic of Kenya. Applications close on 4 November 2026.

It is bordered to the North by Nyeri, to the South by Kiambu, to the West by Nyandarua and to the East by Kirinyaga, Embu and Machakos counties.Duties and responsibilities

Monitoring the implementation of organizational structures in the Public Service;

Establishment, maintenance and updating of Staff Establishment Database;

Management of the Public Service Internship Programme

Promote harmonious industrial relations;

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and ensure implementation of guidelines on the establishment and abolition of offices/ posts in the Public Service;
• Develop, review, and ensure implementation of guidelines on the design of organizational structures in the Public Service;
• Carry out work load analysis to determine optimal staffing levels;
• Develop and harmonize the grading structures and nomenclatures in the Public Service;

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management (HR Option), Labour relations, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, or other related fields;
