Muranga County Government is hiring for the Driver II – Job Group E (10 Posts) position in Muranga. This is a full time role. Qualification level: Certificate. Murang’a County is one of the five counties in the Central region of the Republic of Kenya. Applications close on 4 November 2026.

It is bordered to the North by Nyeri, to the South by Kiambu, to the West by Nyandarua and to the East by Kirinyaga, Embu and Machakos counties.Duties and Responsibilities

Driving a motor vehicle as authorized,

Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tire pressure, e.t.c.

Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems;

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road, safety of the passengers and/or goods therein;

Requirements

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution,
• A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class (es) of vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive;
• Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St.
• A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police; and…
