Job Purpose

The Hospitality Lecturer/Trainer will deliver both theoretical and practical training in housekeeping, laundry services, and front office operations. The role ensures students gain the skills, knowledge, and professional standards required in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Training

  • Deliver lectures and hands-on training in housekeeping, laundry, and front office operations.
  • Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and demonstrations aligned with the curriculum.
  • Supervise practical sessions and ensure adherence to hospitality standards.

Student Assessment & Mentorship

  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations.
  • Mentor students on professionalism, grooming, and customer service.
  • Support internship and industrial attachment preparation and placement.

Curriculum & Institutional Support

  • Participate in curriculum development and departmental activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in area of specialization or equivalent qualification.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ teaching experience at a post-secondary or higher education institution.
  • Experience in hospitality operations, particularly housekeeping, laundry, and front office.
  • Understanding of modern teaching, assessment, and quality assurance practices.
