Key Account Manager (Chinese Speaking)

Job Description:
Jumia is hiring a Category Manager in Kenya to develop and manage subcategories on their platform. This role will maintain the P&L and develop strategic plans by conducting financial analysis. The successful candidate will manage the entire product lifecycle, from idea generation to implementation, including working with the vendor management team to identify vendors and negotiate contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Develop and manage subcategories on Jumia’s platform
- – Maintain P&L and develop strategic plans through financial analysis
- – Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation to implementation
- – Identify vendors and negotiate contracts for best quality and costs
- – Ensure continuous business growth through pricing, promotions, and marketing
- – Partner with teams to improve product availability, reduce costs, and minimize working capital
- – Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains
- – Build strong relationships with top brand and vendor account managers
- – Present projects and results to senior leadership regularly
Requirements:
- – Fluency in Chinese language
- – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- – 3-8 years of experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
- – Experience managing key accounts, channels in retail, consumer goods, or consumer electronics (national & international)
- – Knowledge of online marketplaces and the e-commerce industry
- – Strong business judgment, successful negotiation, and relationship management track record
- – Proven analytical thinking, project management, and exceptional organizational skills
