Duties and Responsibilities

Petroleum Technologist III is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level works under the guidance of a senior officer and supports petroleum technical, laboratory and geoscientific activities.

• Participate in collecting and compiling petroleum data.
• Participate in updating petroleum and technical databases.
• Label samples and prepare them for analytical work.
• Undertake analysis of rock, water, oil and gas.
• Participate in petroleum geoscientific field surveys.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory and survey equipment used for geoscientific petroleum activities.
