Job Description:
The British Council is hiring a Planning and Scheduling Officer for the East Cluster. This role will support planning and tracking exam capacity requirements against demand from 18 months out on a 12-month rolling basis. The officer will translate demand into capacity/resource requirements for venues, people, and test materials to optimize operations and margins while maintaining service levels, maximizing agility, and ensuring contingency.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Execute capacity management plans and collaborate with the Commercial function for demand planning
- – Resolve complex/escalated operational complaints and issues related to venue and demand management
- – Support the Operations Planning Manager on planning future changes to delivery profiles
- – Conduct contingency planning and risk management of supply
- – Manage daily/weekly planning/capacity meetings
- – Support creating reports for effective budget and resource management
Requirements:
- – Experience translating demand requirements to meet operational capacity in a large business
- – Experience managing small teams or demonstrating management potential
- – Experience in third-party relationship management
- – Relevant experience identifying suppliers in a business environment
Desirable:
- – Experience working across a dispersed team
- – University degree in any subject or relevant qualification

- – Contract Type: Indefinite
- – Location: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, or Sudan (candidate must have existing rights to live and work in the based country)
- – Some travel may be required
