Programme Management Officer

Responsibilities

Serve as Deputy Secretary to the Fund Board.

Run day-to-day portfolio coordination with Government counterparts: support portfolio working groups, track the commitments of Government, partners and the UN, and maintain the overall resource-gap picture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the Secretariat’s day-to-day operations and advise the Fund Manager, Resident Coordinator and Head of RCO on pooled financing, the portfolio approach and UN Development System reform.
• Prepare agendas, briefing materials, minutes and follow-up for the Board and Technical Review Committees, and quality-assure proposals before they go to the Board.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in development studies or international development, economics, international relations, political science, governance and public policy, social sciences, or a related field is required.
• A first-level university degree combined with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted instead of the advanced degree.
• Successful completion of degree or non-degree programmes in data analytics, business analytics or data science is desirable…
