Revenue Clerk Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Revenue Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient revenue collection and contributing to the financial operations of Kericho County. Key duties include:
- Collecting revenue across various streams in line with County regulations
- Preparing accurate daily reports on collections made
- Monitoring and enforcing the use of the County’s cashless payment systems
- Reporting obstacles or irregularities affecting revenue collection
- Educating traders on acceptable modes of payment
- Ensuring the safe custody of revenue collection tools and records
- Assisting motorists with registration and payment of parking fees
- Generating invoices and guiding compliance with the County Finance Act
- Engaging with traders and maintaining a positive image of the County Government of Kericho
Minimum Job Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Revenue Clerk positions, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of KCSE Mean Grade C- (Minus) from a recognized examining body
- A Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution
