Security Supervisor

Farmer’s Choice Limited is seeking a proactive Security Supervisor to lead and control security operations during an assigned shift or site. Reporting to the Assistant Security Manager, the role is responsible for protecting people, products, assets, information and operational continuity while coordinating incident response and security controls.

About the Role

The Security Supervisor will oversee security operations during assigned shifts or at designated sites. The position requires strong frontline leadership, risk awareness and operational judgment to ensure security officers consistently protect company operations and respond effectively to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan shift deployment based on security risks, production schedules, dispatch volumes, visitor activity and vulnerable posts.
• Conduct security briefings, handovers and debriefs while allocating posts, equipment and special instructions.
• Supervise company security officers and contracted guards, inspect security posts and address service gaps promptly.
• Enforce access control, search, visitor, key, seal, vehicle and property-removal procedures.
• Verify high-risk inward and outward movements and escalate anomalies involving documents, quantities or seal routes.
• Take initial command of security incidents, secure scenes, activate response plans and support investigations.
• Ensure compliance with private-security requirements, occupational safety, food-defence standards and company requirements.
• Prepare shift summaries, dashboards and security reports.
• Analyse security trends and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Key Competencies

• Competence in shift command, access control, CCTV, incident management and emergency response.
• Working understanding of inventory and dispatch controls, food defence, occupational safety and contractor management.
• Computer literacy, including email, spreadsheets, client systems and electronic surveillance and access-control platforms.
• Strong frontline leadership and accountability.
• Risk awareness, operational judgment and calm decision-making.
• Investigation discipline, clear reporting and effective escalation.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Investigations, Business Administration or a related field.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
• Valid registration, training and compliance required under applicable private-security law and regulation.
• At least 5 years’ progressive security experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, agriculture or distribution is strongly preferred.

• First aid

• Occupational safety
