Position Overview

These internship positions, based in Nairobi, Nyeri, and Mombasa offices, offer an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in insurance underwriting. The interns will work directly with the Assistant Manager-Underwriting, supporting the underwriting team in processing new business applications and contributing to policy issuance.

Key Responsibilities

• – Support underwriting operations through accurate data entry and processing of new business applications
• – Assist in preliminary risk assessments under senior staff guidance
• – Verify application completeness and compliance with underwriting guidelines
• – Maintain organized documentation and ensure secure handling of client information
• – Serve as a liaison between agents and the underwriting team
• – Generate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly branch-level underwriting reports
• – Ensure compliance with KYC, anti-money laundering, and insurance regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• – Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• – Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• – Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities
• – Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• – Effective time management and organizational abilities
• – Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• – Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
