NSSF
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is pleased to announce the launch of its 2025 Internship Program. This structured program is designed to offer hands-on experience to qualified and motivated young individuals looking to build a career in the public sector. The internship will run for six (6) months and aims to support youth empowerment through practical training, mentorship, and exposure to real government work environments.
About the National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
NSSF is a state corporation established under the NSSF Act No. 45 of 2013. Its mandate is to provide basic financial security to members upon retirement or in cases of invalidity or death. The Fund has been instrumental in promoting savings culture, financial inclusion, and social protection for millions of Kenyan workers. In line with its mission, NSSF supports career growth and capacity development through internship placements in various departments every year.
Overview of the 2025 Internship Program
The National Social Security Fund 2025 Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates and continuing students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings. Interns will gain exposure to the inner workings of government institutions, participate in real-time projects, and benefit from professional mentorship throughout the placement period.
Duration
The internship runs for a non-renewable period of six (6) months, beginning in May 2025 and ending in December 2025.

Internship Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will be assigned roles aligned with their field of study and departmental needs. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in daily operational tasks and administrative functions
- Conducting data entry, filing, and documentation activities
- Preparing internal reports and presentations under supervision
- Attending departmental meetings, briefings, and training sessions
- Collaborating with staff on ongoing projects and assignments
- Observing professional standards, ethics, and confidentiality
Eligibility Criteria for the NSSF 2025 Internship Program
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered:
- Be a Kenyan citizen aged between 20 and 30 years
- Hold a degree or diploma from a recognized institution in a relevant field
- Graduated within the last 36 months or be currently enrolled in a recognized institution
- Have strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Have not previously benefited from any internship in a government organization
