About the Sales Executive Role
M-KOPA is seeking dynamic, results-driven Sales Executives in multiple regions across Kenya to join our expanding Sales Team. Position: Sales Executive
Locations: Nairobi, Eastern, Kakamega, Coast, Nakuru, Kisumu, Kisii, Central, Eldoret

Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Sales Executive will lead field-based sales operations with the following core responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and mentor a field-based team of Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs)
- Develop and implement strategies to help team members exceed their targets
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to optimize sales results
- Create a motivating environment that inspires team excellence
Sales Management
- Monitor and deliver against established sales targets
- Craft powerful sales strategies tailored to local market conditions
- Develop local networks to expand M-KOPA’s market presence
- Identify growth opportunities in assigned territories
- Apply sales and negotiation skills to surpass performance expectations
Marketing and Analysis
- Monitor and analyze marketing campaign effectiveness
- Fine-tune marketing approaches to drive improved results
- Ensure comprehensive reporting that shapes future strategies
- Implement data-driven decisions to optimize sales operations
Inventory and Compliance
- Handle DSR inventory management efficiently
- Manage audit recommendations in line with company policies
- Ensure all customer interactions reflect M-KOPA’s values and standards
- Maintain compliance with internal processes and procedures
Qualification Requirements
M-KOPA is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Professional Experience
- Proven sales experience in FinTech, Microfinance, Telecommunications, FMCG, or related industries
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and motivation
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience building and maintaining business relationships
Technical Skills
- Superior sales and negotiation capabilities
- Strong analytical skills for market assessment and performance tracking
- Process-oriented approach to operations management
- Proficiency in sales reporting and data analysis
