About the Role

Cabin Crew members are responsible for delivering personalized onboard service while ensuring passenger safety and security. The role requires strong communication skills, teamwork, a customer-focused attitude and the ability to respond appropriately to routine service needs and emergencies.

Successful candidates undergo intensive training in Dubai covering safety and emergency procedures, medical response and Emirates service standards. Career development opportunities include progression through Economy Class, Business Class, First Class, Cabin Supervisor and Purser roles.

Required Qualifications and Eligibility

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Be fluent in written and spoken English. Additional languages are an advantage.
• Have at least one year of hospitality or customer service experience.
• Have a minimum of high school education, equivalent to Grade 12.
• Be at least 160 cm tall and able to reach 212 cm high.
• Be able to meet the United Arab Emirates employment visa requirements.
• Have no visible tattoos while wearing the Emirates cabin crew uniform.
• Be a natural team player with a positive personality and a customer-focused approach.

Cabin Crew Training Programme

New recruits complete seven and a half weeks of training at Emirates’ facility in Dubai to prepare for the safety and service responsibilities of the role.

Induction Experience – 3 Days

New employees are introduced to Dubai and the Emirates Group. The induction covers joining formalities and provides support to help recruits prepare for their learning journey.

Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP) – 13 Days

Training covers aircraft safety equipment, firefighting, in-flight emergencies and evacuation procedures to prepare crew members to protect passengers and the aircraft.

Group Medical Training (GMT) – 5 Days

Recruits learn how to respond to medical emergencies, including CPR, bleeding, burns, emergency childbirth and a range of medical conditions.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly Pay

The Grade II (Economy Class) pay package comprises a fixed basic salary, hourly flying pay and overseas meal allowances.

• Basic Salary: AED 4,980 per month.
• Flying Pay: AED 69.6 per hour, based on an average of 80–100 flying hours per month.
• Average Monthly Pay: Approximately AED 11,244.
• Meal Allowance: Overseas night-stop meal allowances are credited to the salary in arrears the following month.

These figures are approximate and apply to Grade II (Economy Class).

Accommodation and Transport

• Free furnished accommodation, including water and electricity, in shared apartments, with each crew member having their own bedroom.
• Company-provided transport to and from work and the Training College.
• Hotel accommodation and airport transfers are provided during applicable overseas stops.

Travel, Leave and Insurance

• Concessional travel benefits on Emirates, subject to the Staff Travel Manual, and travel benefits on other airlines subject to applicable agreements and policies.
• Thirty calendar days of annual leave.
• One free annual leave ticket to the employee’s country of origin, which may be changed to an Emirates destination from the first year of service.
