The Security Coordinator, Standards and Procedures works under the direction of the Security and Transport Manager to coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of security standards across Jambojet’s operations network.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development, review, issuance, and implementation of current security standards, procedures, and job instructions across the security operations network.
- Conduct audits, inspections, spot checks, and tests of outsourced security service providers against established specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor implementation of aircraft security procedures during overnight stays and aircraft turnaround periods to prevent unauthorized access.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a security Quality Control programme for monitoring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and deliver competency-based aviation security training across relevant organizational functions according to the approved training calendar.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to security personnel to promote consistent application of standards and procedures.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external security providers, regulatory authorities, and other security agencies.
- Supervise staff under direct responsibility and provide appropriate direction, coaching, and operational guidance.
- Support incident response, security risk management, and continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.
- Provide security-related reports, findings, recommendations, and compliance updates to management.
Required Qualifications for Aviation Security Jobs
- Hold a KCSE qualification with a minimum grade of C+ or equivalent.
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Have at least three years of relevant aviation security experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of aviation security standards, regulations, procedures, and best practices.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Have knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Code, Evidence Act, and Penal Code.
- Possess relevant AVSEC qualifications and training, including AVSEC Basic 1, 2 and 3, AVSEC Instructor training, and a KCAA Instructor Certificate.
