Community Oral Health Officer (COHO) (1)

Equity Afya is hiring for the Community Oral Health Officer (COHO) (1) position in Kajiado. This is a full time, mid level role. Qualification level: Diploma. The officer diagnoses and treats various oral health conditions, offers preventive dental services, and educates patients on oral hygiene practices. Applications close on 15 November 2026.

They play a crucial role in promoting oral health and ensuring patients receive quality dental care.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience

Good communication skills

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry advancements

Compliance with regulatory and Oral Safety standards

Key responsibilities

• They are responsible for providing high-quality dental care services to patients while observing the scope and acceptable standards of operation.

Requirements

• Diploma in Community Oral Health
• Registered with a valid license from Oral Health Association of Kenya (OHAK) / Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Proficient in computer applications
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental hygiene and oral health
