United Nations Capital Development Fund is hiring for the Project Analyst – Strategic Fund Unit, IPSA9, Nairobi, Kenya, UNCDF [Open to internal and external applicants] position in Nairobi. This is a contract, mid level role. Qualification level: Masters; experience: 0 – 4 yrs. In line with the commitment to safeguard capacity and support personnel already in the Organization, a majority of UNDP UNCDF/UNV vacancies are advertised using a tiered application process whereby: Applications close on 4 November 2026.

Tier 0: UNDP/UNCDF/UNV IP staff holding permanent (PA) and fixed-term (FTA) appointments, whose posts will be abolished, or contracts will be terminated or not renewed during 2026.

Tier 1: Other UNDP/UNCDF/UNV staff holding permanent (PA) and fixed-term (FTA) appointments

Tier 2: UNDP/UNCDF/UNV staff holding temporary appointments (TA), personnel on regular PSA contracts, and Expert and Specialist UN Volunteers

Key responsibilities

• Conduct of research and desk analysis to support project design and implementation
• Conducting background research and desk analysis to inform project design and implementation.
• Preparing first drafts of notes, presentations, and reports
• Support internal and external stakeholder engagements through interviews and meeting documentation.
• Provide logistics and coordination support for project governance structures
