Job Description

The Telesales Representative – Outbound is a pivotal role within the Fintech Customer Retention department. You’ll be responsible for re-engaging existing customers through phone-based campaigns, pitching new product offerings, and helping customers derive more value from M-KOPA’s solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Upselling: Drive revenue by promoting relevant M-KOPA products to current customers via outbound calls.
  • Customer Retention: Strengthen loyalty by identifying customer needs and matching them with appropriate product offerings.
  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed weekly and monthly conversion and productivity targets.
  • CRM Management: Accurately document customer interactions in the CRM system to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Call Quality: Maintain high standards of communication, adhering to call scripts and compliance guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and cross-functional units to share feedback and improve campaign effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in outbound telesales, preferably in a call center or BPO setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
  • Ability to handle objections, solve problems, and close deals over the phone.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and call center technologies.
  • Strong ethical standards and customer-first mentality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the fintech, telecom, or insurance sectors.
  • Proven track record of exceeding telesales quotas.
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation and lead qualification methods.
  • Passion for financial inclusion and digital access.
