The internship provides practical accounting experience in a challenging work environment, with the possibility of deployment within the Group Shared Services on a permanent basis for a successful intern.

About the Accounts Internship

The Accounts Intern will gain practical experience across key accounting and finance functions during the three-month internship programme. The role provides exposure to general ledger activities, cash and banking operations, management accounts, credit management, job costing and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyse the general ledger.
• Support cash office operations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash book management.
• Support job costing activities.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
• Support credit management activities.
• Maintain the creditors ledger.
• Support compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements for Appointment

• Must be a graduate in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
• Must have attained a minimum Upper Second-Class Honours Degree.
• Must be fully qualified CPA (K) or ACCA.
• Must have good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office packages.
• Must be a good team player with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
