About the Role

The QA Engineer Intern will work under the guidance of the Product & QA Coordinator, Tech Lead, and Senior Tech Lead. The intern will help ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of platforms including the LMS, Marketplace App, Agent App, APIs, and partner integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile, backend, and internal system features.
• Support functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing before releases.
• Identify, document, and report bugs using approved tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Freshdesk, or other internal systems.
• Provide clear defect evidence, including screenshots, screen recordings, reproduction steps, expected results, and actual results.
• Retest assigned defects after fixes and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Support UAT activities by validating user flows, collecting feedback, and maintaining appropriate evidence.
• Assist with regression testing, release readiness checks, post-release validation, and issue monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product Leads, Developers, Tech Leads, and the Senior Tech Lead during sprint activities.
• Maintain test cases, test results, QA evidence, reports, and documentation while contributing to testing and product improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software testing, QA processes, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn fintech products, APIs, and digital lending workflows.
• Recent graduates and final-year students are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with web and mobile application testing.
• Exposure to Jira, ClickUp, Freshdesk, Postman, or similar tools.
• Previous internship, academic project, or hands-on experience in QA or software testing.

Key Performance Expectations

• Complete assigned test cases within agreed sprint timelines.
• Produce clear, complete, and reproducible bug reports with appropriate evidence.
• Retest assigned resolved defects before closure.
• Support UAT validation and assigned regression testing before release deadlines.
• Maintain accurate QA documentation, test evidence, and results.
• Escalate critical bugs within the same business day of identification.
• Provide timely updates on testing progress, blockers, and defects.
• Develop a growing understanding of LMS, Marketplace App, and Agent App workflows.
• Contribute QA or product improvement ideas and complete assigned learning activities during the internship.
