Job Description
The Business Process Auditor plays a central role in supporting the Bank’s internal audit activities in alignment with the approved annual audit plan. The position strengthens the institution’s governance structure by identifying control gaps, improving internal processes, and ensuring consistent compliance across operational, financial, and regulatory areas.
This role reports directly to audit leadership and works closely with cross-functional teams across the Group. The ideal candidate will possess strong auditing skills, a deep understanding of financial services, and the ability to evaluate risks using a disciplined and systematic approach.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audit Planning and Execution
- Conduct audit fieldwork as directed by the Audit Manager.
- Assist in designing and implementing a risk-based annual internal audit plan aligned with strategic business priorities.
- Perform risk assessments to identify high-risk areas across the organization.
- Execute audits including operational, financial, and compliance engagements.
- Follow global internal auditing standards and regulatory guidelines during audit processes.
- Assess internal control effectiveness, governance structures, and risk mitigation measures.
2. Audit Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare well-structured audit summaries highlighting findings, recommendations, and improvement opportunities.
- Present audit results to the Audit Manager and relevant leadership units.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all audit work performed.
3. Risk Assessment and Advisory Support
- Provide advisory input on governance, process improvement, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in corporate projects, initiatives, or working groups as an audit representative.
- Support the development of new or updated policies and internal controls.
4. Continuous Learning and Development
- Stay informed on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Participate in training programs to enhance audit, risk, and technical skills.
- Contribute to the evolution of audit methodologies and internal practices.
- Offer training or mentorship to audit team members where applicable.
5. Issue Follow-Up and Monitoring
- Create audit issues on Teammate after completion of reviews.
- Follow up with responsible departments to track resolution progress.
- Coordinate issue validation and closure on Teammate.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with the Audit Manager, process owners, and other internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regulators, external auditors, and assurance providers to ensure seamless coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
- Professional certification: CPA(K), CIA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Additional credentials such as CISA or CFE are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal audit, external audit, or fraud investigation within reputable organizations.
- Proficiency with audit analytics tools such as IDEA or ACL.
- Strong competency using MS Office applications and audit software including Teammate or Audit Bond.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large financial institutions or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
