Developing Kenya’s Financial Talent Pool
The Central Bank of Kenya is hiring motivated young graduates for its prestigious one-year Internship Program. In line with its mandate of maintaining stability and fostering a stable financial system, the Central Bank of Kenya has established this comprehensive program to develop a pool of young talent adequately exposed to central and commercial banking operations.
Centra Bank of Kenya Internship Program Objectives
The objective of the Central Bank of Kenya Internship Program is to develop and prepare young talent to take up employment opportunities that emerge in the Kenyan Banking and Financial Sector. Participants will gain valuable workplace experience, expand their knowledge, refine career goals, and build professional networks, mentors, and contacts within the financial industry.

- – Finance
- – Research
- – Banking and Payment Services
- – Communications
- – Human Resources
- – Internal Audit & Risk
- – General Services
- – Information Technology
Key Requirements for Applicants
Educational Qualifications
- – A first degree from a recognized university in relevant disciplines such as Finance, Economics, Statistics, Banking, Accounting, Micro-Finance, Human Resources, Management, Social Sciences, Information Technology, Communications or related fields
- – Alternatively, a master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- – Must have graduated within the last 24 months from the closing date of this advertisement
Eligibility Criteria
- – Must be a Kenyan citizen aged between 21 to 29 years
- – Should NOT have undertaken any other Internship Program or been exposed to work-place experience related to their area of study since graduating
- – Must provide a recommendation/reference letter from the university attended
- – Successful candidates shall be required to have a valid medical insurance cover; provided by SHIF or other reputable medical insurance firm for the entire internship duration
