Data Clerk Job Description
The Data Clerk will support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities by ensuring accurate collection, entry, validation, storage, and management of project data. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality data that supports reporting, planning, and evidence-based decision-making throughout the Ebola Virus Disease preparedness project.

Key Responsibilities
- Enter project data accurately into databases, spreadsheets, ODK, KoboCollect, and other electronic platforms.
- Compile and consolidate data received from health facilities, community activities, and sub-county teams.
- Capture project indicators within DHIS2 and other reporting systems as required.
- Review, clean, and validate project data to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Identify data discrepancies and report quality issues to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems while safeguarding confidential project information.
- Prepare data summaries, tables, and extracts to support weekly, monthly, and donor reports.
- Support data verification exercises, field documentation, and other monitoring activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology, Statistics, Information Technology, Data Management, Community Health, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or additional training in Monitoring and Evaluation or Data Management will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data entry, records management, or data management within a health or development programme.
- Experience working with health information systems, including DHIS2, is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and electronic data collection platforms such as ODK and KoboCollect.
- Suitable for candidates seeking DHIS2 data management jobs in Kenya with strong analytical and record management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting disease outbreak response or emergency health programmes.
