About the Role
The Driver will operate Kenya Medical Training College vehicles as authorized and ensure they remain clean, secure and in proper mechanical working condition. The position requires careful observance of traffic regulations, accurate vehicle documentation and prompt reporting of incidents or mechanical concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive assigned vehicles as authorized.
- Keep work tickets for assigned vehicles up to date.
- Clean and maintain the assigned motor vehicle.
- Ensure the vehicle remains in proper mechanical working condition.
- Ensure the security and safety of passengers and the vehicle both on and off the road.
- Observe and comply with applicable traffic laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications
For appointment to the Driver position, a candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Hold a valid Category D3 driving licence without any current endorsements.
- Have attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting at least one week at St. John Ambulance, Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT), or another recognized and accredited institution.
- Hold a Certificate in Suitability Test for Drivers conducted by the Ministry responsible for transport.
- Have a valid Clearance Certificate from the National Police Service.
- Have at least two years of driving experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications.
